Where Conscience Walked
We have a moral obligation to find the truth, to pursue justice, no matter how long it takes."
- Representative John Lewis
(February 21, 1940-July 17, 2020)
This year, Boston Children's Chorus is proud to present our 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert, Where Conscience Walked where we will explore the legacy of Good Troublemaker, Congressman John Lewis, and his journey from the Edmund Pettus Bridge to becoming the “Conscience of Congress”.
With songs of protest, resilience, freedom, and power, our singers will trace the movement from Selma to Washington, and examine the connections between Lewis and the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Boston Children’s Chorus (BCC) is sustained by the generosity of donors like you who believe in the transformative power of music and community.
At BCC, four out of five singers receive financial aid, ensuring that finances are never a barrier to participation.
To continue this vital work, we rely on the annual support of individuals who share our belief in music’s power to inspire, uplift, and create lasting change.
